Materials
- Giotto Turbo Maxi (everything except ink and backplug): 2
- Supertips (thick-diameter barrel, used as a connector): 1
- small plastic tube (the base, non-stretched one can fit inside a Flexgrip body): 1
Note: Editor’s note: you should be able to use silicone pipe as grip
Steps
Step 1
Cut 7 mm from the front of the Giotto barrel (keep the cut part)
Step 2
Scrape the inside of both front parts (a wood carving tool is useful here)
Step 3
Cut 3 cm of the Giotto cap (flat part)
Step 4
Cut the small part of the top of the Giotto cap (separate the inside bit from the outside barrel)
Step 5
Cut 8 mm from the inner part of the Giotto cap
Step 6
Connect the flat inner part of the Giotto cap on the tip of the front
Step 7
Add the remaining inner Giotto cap part inside the front
Step 8
Cut a ring from the plastic tube and put it on the structure (so it will not rattle inside the cap)
Step 9
Using a lighter, stretch the plastic tube to put it on the Giotto cap. Make it so that it connects to the front (so no tape is used)
Step 10
Cut more sections of plastic tube and add them on the Giotto body (acting as decorative grip)
Step 11
Cut ~1 cm of tube and put it on the center of your ST-size connector (the connector is ~4 cm long)
Step 12
Connect it to the body (picture as guide)
Step 13
Repeat on the other side and connect to the center part.
Notes
An ingenious way to make a mod out of 2 Giottos.
Stuff price: around $1–3

From the creator
“The GioGear is a TitanGear-inspired mod made as an ultimate cheap alternative. Basically, there is virtually no way to do a cheaper ‘TitanGear’ type mod (for me at least).”
