Printing inserts
The Insert layout tool on 紡 TSUMUGI lays out your insert images on A4 paper automatically. Print them directly or download a PDF or PNG to print at a convenience store or on your home printer.
Your photos stay in your own browser and are never uploaded to the site.
### 1. Choose photos
Tap “Choose photos”; you can pick many at once.
Use “Copies” under each photo to set how many to print. Set it to 0 to skip that photo.
Photos are kept in this device’s browser and are still there after reloading. Tap “Clear all photos” at the top right when you no longer need them.
### 2. Set up groups and sizes
Each group has its own size (cm). Pick a preset (for example VP, 8.8 cm) or enter the width and height yourself.
- Keep ratio: the width is set to your length and the height follows the photo.
- Stretch: both width and height are set to your values, so the photo is stretched.
To print different sizes on the same sheet, tap “+ Add a group”, then choose a group under each photo.
Photos in the same group are shown together, and each group card shows which photos it contains.
With two or more groups, every photo needs a group before you can print or download.
### 3. Layout
- Allow rotating: the layout is arranged automatically, and photos may be turned 90° to fill gaps so more fit on a sheet.
- Gap: leaves a little space between inserts for easier cutting.
- Orientation: A4 portrait or landscape.
- Draw cut lines: draws a thin light-gray line around each insert to help you cut accurately.
### 4. Printer compensation
Some printers print slightly smaller than the original.
Choose your country or printing method (for example a Taiwan convenience store) and the tool enlarges the sizes first, so the print comes out at your size.
If your printer isn’t listed, print one sheet with “None” first and measure the actual size.
### 5. Print or download
The finished layout is previewed below; tap a preview to enlarge it.
- Print: print straight from the browser.
- Download PDF: good for taking to a convenience store or sending to a print shop.
- Download PNG: one image per page.
When printing, choose “Actual size” or “100%” in the print settings, not “Fit to page”, so the sizes come out right.
### Tips
After printing, cut along the lines with a craft knife and ruler, and check the length before putting the insert in the pen barrel.
